Montefiore Nyack Hospital on Wednesday celebrated the discharge of its 400th patient who has recovered from COVID-19 since the hospital began treating people for the virus.

As has become the custom when coronavirus patients are sent home, hospital staff members were on hand to cheer on the patient — Al Sisolak of Orangeburg — as The Beatles tune, “Here Comes the Sun," was performed.

The celebration took place on the plaza at outside the hospital's main entrance off Midland Avenue.

The 391-bed community hospital began playing the popular George Harrison song as a sendoff on April 13.
