WHY: Nursing Home workers at a small rural nursing home are working without a contract since April 30 when their one-year contract expired. At the most recent negotiating session, RCA Healthcare Management, LLC offered less than competitive wages and benefits, leaving workers feeling disrespected after working short-staffed throughout COVID-19 pandemic.

The Niagara County nursing home was recently purchased by downstate nursing home owner Ed Farbenblum. Farbenblum is owner of RCA Healthcare Management Group, LLC and now majority owner of The McGuire Group which operates Autumnview Manor, Seneca Manor, North Gate Manor, and Garden Gate Manor. The new ownership group also operates the former Absolut Nursing Homes at Aurora Park, Gasport, Three Rivers, Allegany, Orchard Brooke and Westfield.
