Child Care Benefits

The 1199SEIU Child Care Fund, also funded by the employers as part of the Union contract, is a unique program that helps thousands of Union families with a wide menu of programs for our children—for after school, mentoring, day care, summer day camp, Saturday and Holiday activities, and cultural arts.

Committees of activist members in the institutions work closely with the Fund to help grow the programs and address the needs of the membership.

The Union has been able to negotiate employer contributions to the Fund for almost the entire Downstate New York region.
