1199SEIU Delegates at University of Miami Hospital Sworn In to Take on Leadership Role

1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East Executive Vice President Monica Russo on August 15 swore in nine newly elected 1199SEIU Florida delegates at University of Miami Hospital.



These member leaders were elected by their peers to take on a leadership role at the hospital and are dedicated to lifting their co-workers up to make UMH the best university teaching hospital in the nation.



Delegates are responsible for educating their co-workers about their collective bargaining agreement, organizing co-workers to act together to solve worksite issues, and leading 1199SEIU efforts to strengthen our communities and improve patient care, among many other responsibilities.
