Florida Workers Fight For $15 and a Union in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale & Tampa Bay

Homecare workers, airport workers, fast food workers and nurses on April 15, including 1199SEIU Florida members, joined thousands of people across the country to stand up for a $15 per hour minimum wage and a union for all workers.



1199SEIU Florida members kicked off the national day of action at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport as nurses boarded a plane to lobby legislators in Tallahassee.

Later in the day, 1199SEIU members joined hundreds of Floridians at rallies in downtown Miami and Tampa Bay.
