We are shocked by the senseless and horrific shooting that occurred at Bronx Lebanon Hospital on Friday. The mass shooting took the life of Dr. Tracy Tam, injured several healthcare workers, and sent shockwaves throughout our hospital and our city. Because of the brave healthcare workers, doctors, and nurses who leapt to care in the time of terrible crisis, many lives were saved that afternoon.

Opponents of a plan to store gas near Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York declared a partial victory in mid-May when Crestwood, the Texas-based company seeking to build the storage containers in the lake’s unlined salt caverns, announced it was abandoning plans to store methane gas in the area.
