Members of 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East in Albany, NY -- and across the state -- are once again using their hearts, minds and feet to get out the vote for candidates who advocate quality healthcare, good jobs, and economic and social justice. The union is well-known for educating its members before an election by deploying hundreds of healthcare worker volunteers to knock on doors and discuss candidate positions on issues of importance to working families.

Like all of the candidates who have been endorsed by our union for Thursday’s Primary Election, Paul recognizes that a strong community and local economy require that healthcare jobs are good middle class jobs. Thousands of these jobs are held by home health aides, home attendants and nursing home workers, who can barely make ends meet for their families.
