199 members are holding walk-ins in hospitals across New York City today to demand that employers respect the rights of workers and include them in the decision-making process when it comes to the future of patient care delivery and the healthcare workforce. Health systems will receive billions of dollars in funding from the #DSRIP program to transform healthcare delivery and members want to ensure that in that process employers make sure all new jobs are:
• Union
• No worker is paid less than $15
• There is retraining for healthcare workers as needs in the healthcare systems change
• Community partners are a part of the decision-making process
