On beautiful and sunny July 28, more than 125 members and their families from upstate New York got together for a day of fun and unity at the 4th Annual 1199SEIU Family Fun Day at Six Flags Great Escape in Lake George.



Political Action Fund members from the northern most parts of the union—the Adirondacks up to the Canadian border—and, for the first time, members from the Syracuse and Utica areas, received super-discounted park admissions, a picnic lunch, ice cream, and free beverages all-day throughout the park. 1199SEIU healthcare workers and their guests also participated in raffles, and were given prizes for the kids. No one left empty handed!



“Family Fun Day at Great Escape is a nice way to thank our members and delegates for all of the hard work they do in their facilities throughout the year,” said Megan Hinman. “I love hear how much fun they had and how they can’t wait to come back!”
