January 31, 2015

Two new radio ads are airing on WNEW and WPGC asking listeners to call Prince George's County Executive Rushern Baker and ask him to save health care in northern Prince George's County. The spots address community concern about Dimension's planned closure of Laurel Regional Hospital. In one spot, a pregnant woman expresses concern that Dimensions has closed the OB unit at Laurel Regional Hospital and that the next nearest hospital is at least 30 minutes away. The second spot highlights the millions of dollars that taxpayers have invested in Prince George's hospitals and how the community is losing much needed health care services. Both radio ads urge listeners to call Baker to ask him to stop hospital unit closures, service cut backs and the loss of an acute care facility in the northern part of the county.Take a listen!Ad 1 - Closing OB Units Ad 2 - Dimension Cuts- See more at: http://www.1199seiu.org/new_radio_ads_ask_county_executive_baker_to_save_health_care_hospital_in_laurel#sthash.zpensZwt.dpuf
