On May 5, more than 20 1199SEIU members participated in the first-ever Purple Gold trivia night. Purple Gold is the young worker program for union member 35 and under.

Participants played five rounds of trivia with questions such as, “Name the number of 1199EIU members in Massachusetts” (Answer: 47,000). Other questions included identifying union and social justice leaders in two photo rounds.

“I thought it was great. Everybody was so eager to participate,” said Joanna “Jo Jo” Hardee, a Purple Gold member, of the lively conversations and participation of the attendees.
