1199SEIU, United Healthcare Workers East and Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center To Launch Joint Campaign “Building on the Tradition of Quality Care”

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center (NFMMC) and 1199SEIU, United Healthcare Workers East (1199SEIU), the healthcare workers union representing 800 employees at Memorial, will hold a news conference at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 9 to announce a major joint initiative regarding funding for needed capital and infrastructure improvements on the medical center’s campus.

WHAT: 1199SEIU and Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will announce a joint community action and social media campaign. The campaign is urging Governor Cuomo to include funding in the 2017/2018 NYS Budget for the repair, construction and modernization of NFMCC. These funds will allow the medical center to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction, meet the needs of our growing community and continue to be the vibrant economic engine the region needs.
