1199SEIU MASSACHUSETTS SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE 1199SEIU MASSACHUSETTS Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”), ALTHOUGH ALL ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO INCREASE THEIR RATE OF CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE 1199 SEIU UNITED HEALTHCARE WORKERS EAST FEDERAL POLITICAL ACTION FUND DURING THE SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD. INCREASING YOUR CONTRIBUTION LEVEL WILL NOT, HOWEVER, IMPROVE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING.

1.              Sponsor. The Sponsor is 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East (“1199SEIU”), located at 498 Seventh Avenue, 24th Floor, New York, NY 10018, politicalaction@1199.org.

2.              Eligibility. A PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION WILL NOT INCREASE THE ODDS OF WINNING. PROMOTION VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. PROMOTION OPEN ONLY TO INDIVIDUALS WHO, AS OF SEPTEMBER 2, 2025, ARE 1199SEIU MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING IN THE MASSACHUSETTS DIVISION WHO AND ENROLLED TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE 1199SEIU MASSACHUSETTS POLITICAL ACTION FUND AS OF SEPTEMBER 1, 2025. Directors, officers, and employees of 1199SEIU, and any of its agents, professional advisors, consultants, advertising and promotional agencies, and immediate family members (spouse, parent, stepparent, child, stepchild, sibling, stepsibling, and their respective spouses), and persons living in the same household (whether related or not), of each are not eligible to win a prize. IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS, YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO WIN A PRIZE, AND 1199SEIU RESERVES THE RIGHT NOT TO AWARD A PRIZE TO YOU. To be eligible to win a prize, entries must be received by 1199SEIU in the manner designated below. All applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

3.              Sweepstakes Period. The Sweepstakes Period will begin at 9:00 am EDT on September 2, 2025, and will end at 5:00 pm EDT on September 16, 2025.

4.              How to Enter. Eligible participants enter the Sweepstakes by completing the form during the Sweepstakes Period. Each eligible participant may submit an entry form only one time during the Sweepstakes Period. No participant may enter the Sweepstakes multiple times.

5.              Prizes. On or about September 17, 2025, three (3) eligible participants will be selected to receive a prize by a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The prize will consist of two (2) tickets to the Red Sox-Tigers baseball game at Fenway Park, scheduled to begin at 3:05 pm EDT on September 28, 2025. The estimated retail value of each ticket is $200, for a combined prize per winner of approximately $400. The prizes consist only of the items expressly specified in these Official Rules. All expenses or costs associated with the acceptance or use of the prizes are the responsibility of the winners. The prizes are awarded “as is” and without any warranty, except as required by law. In no event will more than the number of prizes stated in these Official Rules be awarded.

6.              Prize Notification and Acceptance. 1199SEIU will notify the winners by phone call and email on or about September 17, 2025. The winners must follow the instructions as set forth in the email message in a complete and timely manner to claim the prize. The winners must claim their prize by 5:00 pm EDT on September 22, 2025. Tickets will be transferred to the winners electronically via the MLB mobile application and will be sent to the email address 1199SEIU has on file for each winner. A prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternative eligible participant if (a) two (2) attempts to contact a winner by phone call and email are not successful, (b) a winner is not able or is not interested in receiving the prize won, (c) a prize is otherwise not claimed, or (d) a winner is ineligible or has been otherwise disqualified. Prizes are not transferable. No substitutions or exchanges (including for cash) of the prize will be permitted, except that 1199SEIU reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for the prize.

7.              Odds; Taxes. The odds of winning a prize are dependent on the number of eligible participants that enter. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNERS.

8.              Disclaimer. 1999SEIU and its affiliates and each of their officers, consultants, professional advisors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled, distorted, or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures; (c) any Sweepstakes disruptions, injuries, losses, or damages caused by events beyond the control of 1199SEIU or by non-authorized human intervention; or (d) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Sweepstakes.

9.              General Release. By entering the Sweepstakes, each participant releases 1199SEIU and all Released Parties from any liability whatsoever, and waives any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Sweepstakes  or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty, or other theory.

10.           Use of Winners’ Names and Likenesses. Except where prohibited by law, entry into the Sweepstakes constitutes permission to use the winners’ names and likenesses for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation. Winners may be asked to submit photos of themselves at the baseball game to be used by 1199SEIU for promotional purposes.

11.           Winners List. For a copy of the winners list, send a stamped, self-addressed, business-size envelope before March 31, 2026, to 1199SEIU at the address listed in Section 1, Attn: 1199SEIU Political Action - Sweepstakes Winners List.

12.           Miscellaneous. The Sweepstakes and these Official Rules will be governed, construed, and interpreted under the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its or any other jurisdiction’s choice of law provisions. Participants agree that the forum for any dispute shall be in the courts in New York, NY. Participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of 1199SEIU, which are final and binding in all respects. Any provision of these Official Rules deemed unenforceable will be enforced to the extent permissible, and the remainder of these Official Rules will remain in effect. 1199SEIU reserves the right to change these Official Rules at any time, in its sole discretion, and to suspend or cancel the Sweepstakes  or anyone’s participation in the Sweepstakes should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes beyond 1199SEIU’s control affect the administration, security, or proper play of the Sweepstakes, or 1199SEIU otherwise becomes (as determined in its sole discretion) incapable of running the Sweepstakes as planned. Participants who violate these Official Rules, violate any law, rule, or regulation in connection with participation in the Sweepstakes, tamper with the operation of the Sweepstakes, or engage in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to 1199SEIU, the Sweepstakes, or any other participant (in each case as determined in 1199SEIU’s sole discretion) are subject to disqualification from entry into the Sweepstakes. By participating in the Sweepstakes, each participant acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and warrants that their entry in the Sweepstakes complies with these Official Rules.
