Mejia, a longtime organizer and labor leader, was endorsed by 1199SEIU. She played a major role in winning the fight for a $15 minimum wage in New Jersey and has spent her career organizing working people and marginalized communities.

She was also endorsed by Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and supported by a broad coalition of labor and progressive organizations.
