1199SEIU members in the Boston Medical Center B.E.S.T. (Boston Emergency Services Team) unit have unanimously ratified a one-year contract!

Some of the highlights of the one-year contract include a 2% across the board raise plus a $400 bonus for all Full-Time employees, a $200 bonus for all Part-Time employees, a $200 bonus for all per-diems that meet requirements. 1199ers also gained three key meeting dates to discuss a possible merger that will strengthen our voices, our contract language, and our numbers!

IMG_20150225_124707.jpg“1199SEIU has worked hard to secure an increase in hourly pay and a fair bonus reflecting the efforts each of us make towards meeting the goals of the B.E.S.T Call Center,” said Donald Carrier, B.E.S.T. clinician. He continued, “Further, ratification of this contract will enable us to continue some work towards reviewing our job description, further protect our contract language, and lead us to a pathway if merging with the Unified Contract.”

“I voted yes because our team was recognized and given raises and bonuses,” said Alicia Flanagan, Clinician with B.E.S.T.
