Workers at Norwood Hospital from the 'Professional' bargaining unit recently ratified an agreement with the state's second largest hospital network, Steward Health Care. The agreement ensures all professional workers at Norwood will see improvements to nearly every aspect of their wages and working conditions.

Workers will immediately receive guaranteed benefits including: Paid time off; holidays; overtime; and health insurance. Depending on paygrade, workers will see wage increases of up to 5% over the next year.

Norwood Hospital will begin contributing to the Training and Upgrading Fund on behalf of these members effective December 1, 2015, ensuring an important career benefit for Norwood members.

As a result of the agreement, professional workers at the hospital will be receiving the first scheduled, guaranteed raises in several years and will have the opportunity to save considerable money on the health insurance rates. The agreement was overwhelmingly ratified and will affect 75 workers.
