CDPAP Workers Must Be Paid Timely, Transparently & Consistent With All Laws

April 24, 2025

1199SEIU released the following statement about the lawsuit (Johnie Flanagan, Laura Chapman, et al. v Public Partnerships LLC/Case 6:25-cv-06225) filed yesterday in Western District Court of New York alleging Public Partnerships LLC (“PPL”) with violating wage laws:

“Home care workers must be paid for all hours they work. Wage and hour violations are rampant in some segments of the home care industry, including among the more than 600 fiscal intermediaries (FIs) that previously operated in New York. One of the goals of the transition to a single FI is to ensure that personal assistants are correctly paid and to eliminate fraud in the system. Now that the transition is underway, the state and PPL must ensure that workers are paid timely, transparently, and consistent with the law.”
