“Tim Kennedy is a longtime healthcare advocate, champion, and friend to 1199SEIU,” said Grace Bogdanove, 1199SEIU Vice-President. “His record in support of organized labor and for the issues that impact healthcare workers speaks volumes. We can’t think of a better candidate to fight for working people inWashington. When elected to Congress, we know that Tim will continue to fight for justice for our communities. We are energized and ready to help get out the vote today. Early voting ends Monday and the special election day is Tuesday,” said Bogdanove.

“We need to send a fighter to Washington – someone who understands the issues but who can also build bridges and get things done,” said Peter DeJesus, Jr, President of WNY Area Labor Federation. “We have serious issues in this country that are under attack right now – voting rights, Women’s rights and you need someone like Kennedy who will fight tirelessly for working class people,” said De Jesus, Jr.

“As a former healthcare worker, I think Tim Kennedy is the best choice for Congress and that's why I'm volunteering today,” said Kim Utech, Nurse Practitioner. “I believe he will continue to fight for healthcare equity for hospitals and nursing homes, women’s rights, and to preserve The Affordable Care Act. Tim Kennedy will never stop fighting for us, that’s why it's important to get out the vote today," said Utech.
