1199 members from all over New York boarded buses early morning on March 14 and headed to Albany, urging state legislators to protect health care in the state budget.  The issue is particularly pressing this year, as Congress and the President are waging an all-out assault on healthcare funding to the states.

We were joined by our sisters and brothers from the New York Nurses Association, hospital leaders, and elected officials who lifted their voices in the name of protecting community healthcare. And we heard great music from guests like Doug E. Fresh, A Taste of Honey, and Lenny Williams!

Our voices were heard, but our work is far from over. We will continue to stand strong and united to fight for our patients, our families, and our communities.
