“By passing a budget that cuts over $1 trillion in healthcare funding, Republicans would be condemning tens of thousands of vulnerable Americans to death each year. The Senate bill is an appalling testament to moral cowardice and greed while breaking every promise that Republicans made to protect Medicaid. The healthcare workers of 1199SEIU call on the House of Representatives to vote this budget down and restore the healthcare funding that millions of Americans rely on.”
The clerical, paralegal and social work staff of Legal Aid, members of 1199SEIU, issued the following statement in support of UAW Local 2325 Association of Legal Advocates and Attorneys (“ALAA”) in their fight to achieve a fair and equitable contract.
