The Healthcare Education Project (HEP), a joint initiative of 1199SEIU and the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA), has launched an exciting newsletter that no one will want to miss. The first issue features articles of interest to healthcare workers, employers and the communities they serve. The quarterly newsletter will continue to include news, opinions and perspectives, and legislative updates.
HEP is a strong advocate for progressive healthcare legislation while protecting against damaging funding cuts to New York’s hospitals and nursing homes. The project works in collaboration with local communities; individuals, local healthcare providers, and civic and religious leaders on projects that include organizing public health fairs and forums and hosting leadership dialogues.
