Members were able to feel their power in Pennsylvania too, when their canvassing helped secure a narrow victory for John Fetterman in the U.S. Senate last November. And as far afield as Georgia, the might of the Union was on display to help push Raphael Warnock over the top in his own Senate race runoff in December.

Rochester, NY - More than 100 nursing home workers at Unity Living Center have been working without a contract since July 31, 2022 when their three-year labor agreement expired. While the employer and the union have agreed to extend the contract multiple times, they have been unable to reach a new agreement. Caregivers are represented by 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, the largest healthcare workers union in the country.
