After twenty-five healthcare workers at University of Miami Hospital collectively approached management to improve working conditions in the psych department, both parties are working together to move the department forward in a new direction.



This positive change was facilitated by the labor-management committee at UMH, a committee made up of hospital workers and management committed to making patient care and working conditions even better at the hospital.



As a result of this collaboration, management and psych department staff are working together to ensure that patient and employee satisfaction remains a priority.
