“By passing a budget that cuts over $1 trillion in healthcare funding, Republicans would be condemning tens of thousands of vulnerable Americans to death each year. It is hard to imagine a more egregious exchange—taking healthcare from vulnerable children, seniors, and working families to give billionaires extravagant tax cuts. The Senate bill is an appalling testament to moral cowardice and greed while breaking every promise that Republicans made to protect Medicaid. The healthcare workers of 1199SEIU call on the House of Representatives to vote this budget down and restore the healthcare funding that millions of Americans rely on.”
